Merry Belated Christmas To All On Newgrounds.

I hope you have- er, HAD a Wonderful Christmas yesterday and I hope you have a Happy New Year next week.

Where I've Been:

You may be wondering why I missed the opportunity to tell you this on Christmas Day (To Be Honest, there's a high chance you don't care to know. You probably didn't care or even notice I was gone.)

On December 5th 2023, my laptop broke and I had to get it fixed. I got it back today, after Christmas. I wish I could have been able to make this post on Christmas.

Remember This Post? Looks like the thing I was worried about (losing access to my accounts) ended up happening anyway. I forgot things can break.

The Projects Left Unfinished:

I have some other bad news. On November 29th 2023, I started development on a game that I was planning to finish by Christmas (or Dec. 15 at the earliest) but due to the laptop issue, I couldn't finish it in time. I was also planning on making an art piece for Christmas too (I didn't start it yet.) The projects were Christmas related so I can't just release them now, after Christmas (That would be... weird, to say the least.)

Looking Back On The Year:

Overall, I feel like I had much less of an impact this year than the first 2 years, especially with the hiatus I took from Oct 2022 to June 25th 2023. Sure I made some art in the latter half of the year but comparing that with all the games i made in 2021 and the art contest in 2022, this year feels rather empty in comparison.

Some Regrets:

Honestly I don't like the way Balloonshroom turned out. Don't get me wrong, Balloonshroom turned out a lot better than i ever imagined it could but I wish I could have had more of an impact in not this year but throughout all of Balloonshrooms career. I wish I could have made the projects I could have made. I wish I had more influence with the way things are in the world. If only I had the support I needed to do these things...

Hopes For Next Year:

Hopefully the regrets I have for 2023 will be solved by next year. Who knows, Maybe 2024 will be the year Balloonshroom finally takes off like I wanted it to. Though, I did say that for 2021, 2022, and 2023 and those years didn't take off. Maybe things will be different.
